The NTE5809 is a general-purpose rectifier diode capable of handling up to 1kV and 3A of current in a DO27 package. This diode is designed for use in various electronic circuits where rectification of AC to DC voltage is required. The DO27 package is a cylindrical package with a diameter of approximately 8.8mm and a length of around 10.5mm, making it suitable for through-hole mounting on a PCB.
