MRF224 is a high power RF transistor developed by Motorola, which is now a part of NXP Semiconductors. It is designed for use in high-power linear applications in the UHF band. The transistor operates at a frequency range of 400-512 MHz and can deliver a continuous wave output power of 250 watts with a gain of 14 dB.The MRF224 is a common emitter configuration transistor with a gold metallization system for enhanced reliability and performance. It is housed in a TO-62 package with a ceramic seal for improved thermal management. The transistor also features internal input and output matching networks for simplified design and integration into RF amplification systems.With its high power output and excellent linearity, the MRF224 is well-suited for applications such as broadcast transmitters, telecommunications infrastructure, and high-power amplifiers.
