The HEF4047B is a monolithic silicon integrated circuit that contains a precision oscillator and a series of unique functions to facilitate the design of many different types of timing circuits. It operates at a wide range of frequencies, from several hundred Hz up to a few MHz, making it versatile for a variety of applications.The HEF4047B consists of a 5040-stage binary counter with an integrated oscillator, providing excellent frequency stability and accuracy. It features a master reset input to clear the counter and restart the timing sequence, as well as an inhibit input to disable the oscillator while maintaining the counter state.This IC is commonly used in applications such as clock generators, frequency dividers, pulse position modulators, and frequency synthesizers. It is also commonly used in audio applications for generating precise clock signals for digital circuits.The HEF4047B is available in various package options, including SO, TSSOP, and DIL packages, making it easy to integrate into a wide range of circuit designs.
