The 2N3918 is a low power NPN transistor that is commonly used in signal amplification and switching applications. It has a maximum collector current of 200mA and a maximum power dissipation of 300mW. The transistor has a low noise figure which makes it suitable for high frequency amplification circuits. The 2N3918 has a maximum voltage of 50V across the collector and emitter terminals and a maximum voltage of 25V across the base and emitter terminals. It has a current gain (hfe) of 40 to 320 at a collector current of 10mA. The transistor has a transition frequency (ft) of 150MHz which allows it to be used in high frequency applications.The 2N3918 is housed in a TO-18 package which is a metal can package with three leads for the collector, base, and emitter connections. It has a temperature range of -65°C to 200°C which makes it suitable for operation in a wide range of environments.
