The TLE4998S8D linear Hall IC is a specialized sensor designed for precise angle and position detection. It features a digital SENT signal compliant with the SAE J2716 standard, comprised of a series of pulses. The sensor transmits data in nibbles, including the Hall value, temperature, and status information. The output stage utilizes an open-drain driver, pulling the output pin low exclusively. To achieve a high level output, an external pull-up resistor is required. This output configuration offers the advantage of enabling the receiver to operate at a lower supply voltage, such as 3.3 V. In such cases, the pull-up resistor must be connected to the receiver's designated power source

- Configurable magnetic range: ±50 mT, ±100 mT, or ±200 mT
- Reverse-polarity and overvoltage protection for all pins
- Output short-circuit protection
- On-board diagnostics (overvoltage, EEPROM error)
- Output of internal magnetic field values and temperature
- Programming and operation of multiple sensors with common power supply
- Two-point calibration of magnetic transfer function without iteration steps
