The STC4054 is a lithium-ion battery charger specifically designed for portable applications such as smartphones, tablets, and other portable devices. It is a linear charger that operates from a USB or adapter input power source. The input voltage range is from 4.5V to 6.5V, making it ideal for charging batteries from either a USB port or a wall adapter.The charger features an integrated pass transistor and current limiting circuitry to ensure safe and reliable charging of lithium-ion batteries. It has a programmable charge current, allowing designers to adjust the charge rate to meet the specific requirements of their application.The STC4054 also includes a programmable timer to prevent overcharging, minimizing the risk of damaging the battery or causing a safety hazard. The charger is designed to handle a variety of battery chemistries, including lithium-ion, lithium-polymer, and lithium iron phosphate.
