Meet the NCP1081, a highly integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) interface controller that's designed to meet the demands of a wide range of applications, including IP phones, security cameras, and wireless access points. This controller offers a complete solution for implementing IEEE 802.3af/at-compliant PoE interfaces with high efficiency and low power consumption. Its built-in 80V high-side switch, primary-side controller, and diode bridge controller enable a compact and cost-effective PoE implementation, while its integrated high-voltage startup source eliminates the need for an additional power source. The NCP1081 also features a comprehensive set of protection features, including overcurrent and short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and undervoltage lockout, ensuring reliable operation in harsh operating conditions. Additionally, this controller supports advanced power management features such as power management interface (PMI) functionality, enabling software control of power delivery and prioritization. Available in a compact, low-profile package, the NCP1081 is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards, making it a versatile and reliable choice for PoE implementation in a variety of network devices
