MC145481 is a digital signal processor (DSP) chip designed for use in voice and data communication applications. It is commonly used in telecommunication systems, modems, and fax machines. The chip features a high level of integration, including analog-to-digital (ADC) and digital-to-analog (DAC) converters, as well as filters and a DTMF encoder/decoder.The MC145481 operates at a clock frequency of 8 MHz and has a 16-bit fixed-point DSP core. It is capable of processing voice signals with a sampling rate of 8 kHz and offers a programmable gain function for both the ADC and DAC. The chip also includes a programmable digital filter and voice CODEC, allowing for flexible signal processing capabilities.In terms of interfaces, the MC145481 features a serial port for communication with external devices, as well as a parallel port for connecting to a microcontroller or other DSPs. It also includes a time division multiplexed (TDM) interface for connecting to T1 and E1 lines.
