MAX9736 is a highly integrated, high-efficiency, Class D audio power amplifier with advanced I²C control and diagnostics capabilities. It is designed for automotive and portable applications where high output power and low power consumption are required.The MAX9736 operates from a wide supply voltage range of 4.5V to 28V, making it suitable for a variety of system configurations. It can deliver up to 40W of power into a 4Ω load with less than 0.05% total harmonic distortion (THD) and 90% efficiency, making it ideal for driving speakers in automotive infotainment systems, smart speakers, and portable devices.The Class D amplifier features a built-in gate driver and protection circuitry, ensuring reliable operation and safeguarding against overcurrent, overtemperature, and undervoltage conditions. The I²C interface allows for easy access to advanced control features like gain control, volume control, and fault detection.In addition, the MAX9736 includes a spread-spectrum modulation mode to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions, further enhancing its suitability for automotive applications. The device also has a low standby current consumption of less than 100µA, helping to conserve power in battery-powered systems.
