The DS2465 is a 1-Wire memory controller with built-in SHA-1 engine and 1kB EEPROM. It is designed for secure authentication applications, such as secure copiers, secure printers, and networked peripherals. The SHA-1 engine allows for secure communication between the DS2465 and a host device, providing authentication and secure data storage.The DS2465 communicates with the host device over a 1-Wire interface, which allows for simple and versatile connectivity. The built-in EEPROM provides 1kB of non-volatile memory for storing authentication keys, configuration settings, and other sensitive data.In addition to secure authentication, the DS2465 can also be used for tamper detection and secure boot applications. It features a dedicated One-Wire PIO pin that can be configured as a tamper detector or secure boot input, providing additional security features.The DS2465 operates over a wide voltage range of 2.8V to 5.25V, making it compatible with a variety of host devices and power supplies. It is available in a small 6-pin TSOT package, making it suitable for compact and space-constrained applications.
