The AD7148 is a capacitive touch controller designed for proximity sensing and touch detection applications. It can support up to 14 capacitive touch sensor channels and is ideal for use in consumer electronics, industrial controls, and automotive applications.The AD7148 features a self-calibrating capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC) that provides stable and reliable performance in various lighting conditions and temperature ranges. It also has a patented 16-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that allows for fine-tuning of sensor thresholds and sensitivity levels.The device operates with a 2.3V to 3.6V supply voltage and offers low power consumption, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. It uses a standard I2C interface for communication with a host microcontroller and supports advanced features such as auto-calibration, noise filtering, and autonomous operation.The AD7148 also includes built-in diagnostics for sensor health monitoring and fault detection, ensuring robust and fault-tolerant operation.
